100% of your donation is given directly to the projects of Raj Foundation in India which are supported by Building Hope Ltd. No money is deducted for Building Hope's administration or operational costs.

Material Donations

We welcome donations of good quality second-hand clothing, toys and children's picture books. (The Indian children at Joy School, Tuni learn English which will help improve their future work/life prospects.) This project is called, Boxes of Hope. Monetary Donations

We welcome once only payments, monthly support or yearly donations; every donation counts, big or small! You may wish to nominate the project to which you would like to donate:

Nest Children (food, clothing & educating orphan children);

Yearn to Learn (education/training materials for pastors/adults/children's learning);

Community Centre Development (sewing machines, craft materials, woodwork tools);

Building Program (orphanage, widows' homes, community centres)

Treasure Wisdom (food, clothing, medical needs for widows/elderly left homeless).

Building Hope Ltd is an aid organisation that is helping to build the lives of those living in poverty throughout India.

Through gathering goods which the western world disposes of so readily, items such as used clothing, books, toys are sent directly to Raj Foundation in Tuni, India for distribution to children & their families in local & remote communities.

Tracey & her family have been able to see firsthand the benefits of these donated resources to communities aided by Raj Foundation. It has been very satisfying to witness the joy on the faces of Indian people when they come to see how much they are loved & cared for by people far away & unknown to them.

Currently Building Hope plans to raise funds for a new school bus for Joy Public Christian School, Tuni, India. Without this much needed form of transport for the local children, they would not be able to attend school.

Plans are also underway for the construction of a Nest Home or orphanage that will house 32 destitute & homeless children. These children will be cared for by Christian house parents who will provide a loving & stable home environment for the children.

Additionally, community centres that showcase the skills of local people are being established. With resources & funding assistance from Building Hope Ltd, crafts such as sewing & woodwork will help to create an income stream for people who have not been able to regularly provide food or adequate shelter for their families.

Building Hope Ltd also raises awareness about its activities & fund raising initiatives through community media such as radio, newspaper & television.

Building Hope is the work of the spirit of God.

This aid organisation was brought to life during a visit to India by Australian teacher & writer, Tracey Linnane, in October 2007. Together with her husband Rod and family, Building Hope Ltd was formed to help support the life-changing work of Raj Foundation.

The wonderful work of Raj Foundation, based in Tuni, Andhra Pradesh, India, was founded & is directed by Min Dr Isaac Raj Alanka, his wife Nuthan and family.

This work includes:

- Establishing Nest Homes for orphaned & destitute children

- Creating community centres that utilise skills & crafts of local people

- Establishing adult education centres that focus on empowering women in their communities

- Providing clothing & emergency food supplies to people ravaged by poverty, disease, illness & homelessness

- Providing bicycles & basic wages for church pastors & their families to help them help build the lives of others in communities.

The core work of Building Hope Ltd is to help resource and fund these projects in India from Australia. Building Hope Ltd is a registered Australian 'not for profit ' charitable organisation (ACN 132 095 240) and a registered Queensland charity (CH1767). As such, all committee members including the Board of Directors , are in honorary, volunteer positions.

Building Hope Ltd was launched on July 12, 2008. One of its first projects is to raise funds for the purchase of a school bus for Joy Public Christian School, Tuni which provides quality education for 250 local children.

Did you know that the first Building Hope Adult Education Centre has just been established in Uppada Sea Coastal region in East India? Young women will now have the opportunity to learn basic literacy & numeracy skills to benefit their daily lives. In the future, their children will have the opportunity to learn at a school that will be established in the area also.

Building Hope focuses on programs that foster active change in communities - children's  &  adult education, health & hygiene programs,  small business enterprises  &  community centres that make use of people's skills  &  crafts - all sustainable programs to help alleviate poverty & build a positive future.
